‘Lollipop’ Olive or Bay Trees
Lots of our new brides-to- be are ordering our lovely ‘lollipop’ olive or bay trees to decorate their wedding or ceremony venues, they look beautiful both inside and outdoors, especially in the evening if they have gently twinkling fairy lights on them – pictured here at the Grand Hotel Brighton, they are flanking the Empress suite hallway.

Flowers for University of Sussex award ceremonies
We’ve just finished the three day award ceremonies at the Brighton Dome for the University of Sussex – see photos. The Dome stage was decked with 10 metres of flowers, this year the choice was jewel colours, deep pink, purple, emerald green and red. The flowers used were:- scented oriental lilies, red roses, purple limonium with daisy chrysanthemums and gerberas.
The graduates, university and Dome staff took away armfuls for flowers after the event breakdown on Friday 27th- some were practising their floristry skills in’ hand tied’ bouquet making!
We also designed the flowers for the VIP lunches at the Royal Pavilion for this event.
This year the William IV room was decorated with tropical deep pink gingers, green and pink bicoloured anthuriums, green orchids and red cornus. They were arranged in tall vases of crushed ice- colourful and very eye catching.

Happy New Year!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
This month we are busy seeing brides and organising this year’s weddings calendar.
July and August are already quite full (especially Saturdays) - dates are still available for June though.
Don’t forget to order your Valentines flowers early and take advantage of our free fresh rose petals with each order (online orders only). Our prices are the same as last year, our roses are top quality and large headed- they can’t fail to impress!

Another busy year!
2011 proved to be another busy year for both weddings and corporate events, Nikki was asked to design flowers (for the 3rd year running) for the prestigious BBC Showcase events held in Brighton each year. These are 3 day events with 50 table centres per evening plus stage flowers and other props. See photos in the ‘events’ gallery.
We have also just been awarded the tender for another 3 years to provide the ceremony flowers for the graduation ceremonies for the University of Brighton.
They have been clients of ours for the last 7 years along with the University of Sussex and the Open University plus many more.
We have just provided the flowers for the annual Veteran car club at the Grand hotel. And are now busy gearing up for Christmas and New Year parties.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! To all our corporate and contract customers and brides old and new it’s been a pleasure designing flowers for your events and weddings.
We have been extremely busy working on our website, and have just launched our online shop offering beautiful gift bouquets and Valentines roses presented in our unique hatboxes, as well as 25% off all featured funeral tributes (see ‘Funeral’ page- online shop).

Another busy year with just over 60 weddings completed
Another busy year with just over 60 weddings completed- we are now well into autumn/winter which is typically ‘event/party’ season and have just created several metre long arrangements for a 3 day event held at the Brighton Centre for Hampton Medical. Earlier in the year Nikki was asked by Thomson Reuters to design table centre arrangements for a lavish event they were hosting in Brighton.
In Spring next year we will be designing the flowers for the bi -annual award ceremonies for the universities of Brighton, Sussex and the Open University.
These events last between 2 and 6 days long and are held at the Brighton Dome. We design in situ cascading stage arrangements, sometimes up to 21 metres long , the whole length of the theatre stage- they comprise of scented, seasonal flowers. we refresh and maintain the displays for the duration- the colour palette and theme is changed for each event.
We have just launched our ‘to hire’ range of vases, stands, bay trees and bird cages.
As well as our complete ‘event packages’, which consist of chair covers, flowers, tea light candles and mirrored plates.

A busy start to the year…
We’ve had a busy start to the year, beginning with the university of Sussex award ceremonies at Brighton Dome in January. This was a two day event and we used scented white and pink flowers, the colour theme was carried through to the William the IV room in the Royal Pavilion for the VIP lunches.
This was closely followed by the university of Brighton ceremonies, again held at the Brighton Dome, for these ceremonies we did a spring theme in blue, white and yellow flowers that were arranged cascading over the 21 metre theatre stage.
Then Nikki was asked again this year to design the flowers for the BBC Showcase events that were held at the Grand Hotel in Brighton from the 20th to 24th Feb. The themes were ‘Sci- fi’, ‘murder mystery’ and ‘music festival’, the Sugababes were performing and many celebs turned up.

Royal pavilion wedding fair on Sunday 7th February 2010
Come and visit our stand at the Royal pavilion wedding fair on Sunday 7th February 2010 where you will be able to see some beautiful wedding bouquets, and get ideas for your reception and ceremony flowers. Maybe enrol in one of our spring workshops and learn how to make some of your own wedding flowers- and keep your costs down at the same time.

BBC Showcase Event
We were commissioned by the BBC to provide ideas and designs for their annual Showcase event in Brighton which attracts attendees from around the world. The event consisted of two themes evenings - “Moonscape” and “Centric Circles” held over a week in the ballroom at the Grand Hotel. We were honoured to be selected for this high profile event - See images in the events gallery.

New website and our busiest 12 months ever!
No sooner had we completed a huge spectacular event at the Brighton Corn Exchange with nearly 500 guests for the Institute of Chartered Accountants complete with VIP guest speaker William Hague MP.
Nikki was asked to design the flowers for the opening of the Chinese Whispers: Chinoiserie in Britain 1650 -1930 exhibition at the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. She chose blood red roses with gold bamboo in black lacquered containers to replicate the glamour of this period. (This exhibition continues until the 2nd Nov 08).
Our next large event was at the Royal Pavilion for the UBS investment bank. They held a VIP dinner in the magnificent Banqueting Hall, with a drinks reception in the great Kitchen.
We used our 3ft tall table candelabras for the dinner decked with roses, glossy green foliage, trailing green amaranthus and ivy. For the entrance a large classical urn of green hydrangea, deep pink ‘Milano’ and ‘Grand Prix’ roses with metre tall green gladioli was chosen. The look was opulent and sophisticated, the flowers looked stunning.
We have also just taken on the contract to supply the flowers for the new boutique hotel in the North Laines,’ My Hotel’ - They have just had their grand opening party, (with a difference!) they staged an ‘American Beauty’ style themed evening (we used over 400 red roses for petals) as well as filling the restaurant, bars, Carousel suite and function rooms with arrangements which added the perfect finishing touch.
